Dear Traveler,
It's bad enough when
something happens to force you to cancel or interrupt your
trip -- but what most people don't think about is the cost
of canceling or dropping part of their trip. Why should
they? After all, it's not a subject that comes readily to
mind when you're planning to travel -- any more than you
consider the possibility of losing your belongings or
becoming ill en route.
But that's life. These
things do occur. In response to such problems, a Travel
Protection Plan offered by Trip Mate Insurance
Agency* is made available to you. This plan covers
major portions of these expenses. You're even covered if
you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a
pre-existing medical condition -- provided that you
purchase the Travel Protection Plan no more than seven
days after your initial deposit/payment for your trip and
you are not disabled from travel when you make your plan
payment.
For $79 or $89 per person
($79 for tours up to $1500 and $89 for tours over $1500),
you're covered in numerous ways. While the plan benefits
are outlined here, please refer to your Description of
Coverage Brochure for detailed information concerning the
Travel Protection Plan. You will receive the Description
of Coverage Brochure with your travel documents and is
also available to you, upon request, at any time prior to
your purchase of the plan.
Besides covering expenses,
the plan also includes a 24-hour worldwide emergency
assistance service that will provide you with help in the
event of a medical emergency. Multi-lingual assistance
coordinators can help you locate a doctor and can get in
touch with your family, your own physician, or anyone else
you request. The service will monitor your medical care
and your progress during treatment and recovery.
Medical problems aside, the
service can also help you in translating, sending
emergency messages, locating legal services, contacting an
embassy or consulate, and replacing lost or stolen
documents. One phone call does it. Please refer to your
Description of Coverage Brochure for further details.
