This cosmopolitan vacation features two nights in Paris, where guided sightseeing includes a ride up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, an overnight in Lyon, France's second-largest city, and 2-night stays in Nîmes and Nice. Stops are made in Beaune, the capital of Burgundy; in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for a wine tasting; in Avignon to see the Palace of the Popes; at Pont du Gard to see the Roman aqueduct; and in Arles, the city where Van Gogh painted more than 300 canvases. Before arriving in Nice, also stop in famous Aix-en-Provence and drive through Cannes of film festival fame. Optional excursions to Monte Carlo and the artist town of St. Paul de Vence are available.
