This vacation is ideal to explore all of France. Enjoy two-night stays in Paris, Tours, and Nice. Your trip starts with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant in Paris and a guided tour of Paris" famous landmarks, including Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Madeleine, Louvre, Champs-Elysées, and Notre Dame Cathedral. Ascend the Eiffel Tower and see magnificent views of Paris. Travel to the Normandy Beaches, then head to Mont St. Michel with its famous Abbey. Visit the castles of Chambord, Catherine de Medici's Chenonceaux, and Clos Lucé. At Clos Lucé, admire Leonardo da Vinci's inventions. Stop at Limoges" porcelain factory and in picturesque St. Emilion before continuing to Bordeaux, world famous for its wines. Travel via the medieval walled town of Carcassonne to Nîmes for your overnight stay, and continue via the famous Pont du Gard and Avignon to Nice. In Nice, enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town and its colorful flower market. Enjoy a whole day at leisure at the Côte d - Azur. Next, stop in the film festival town of Cannes and Aix-en-Provence, birthplace of Cézanne. Arrive in Lyon, France's second-largest city. Your orientation tour in Lyon features a walk through Old Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Roman Amphitheater. Enjoy wine tasting in Beaune, Burgundy, and stay overnight in pretty Dijon before returning to Paris. In Paris, there is time to do an optional visit to the Louvre Museum for those who wish to do so.
