This 14-day vacation begins with two nights in Paris and ends on the French Riviera. Guided sightseeing acquaints you with the French capital. Drive southward through the Burgundy region, stopping in medieval Beaune where you - ll enjoy your first tasting experience of the Burgundy wines. Join your elegant ship in Chalon-sur-Saône, then cruise gently on the Saône and Rhône Rivers. There are orientation walks in the picturesque towns of Mâcon and Tournon, as well as sightseeing with Local Guides in Lyon, France's gastronomic capital; Avignon with its bridge made famous by the popular song; and Arles, the capital of the Provence region. And everywhere you - ll hear about and have ample opportunity to taste the grand wines and sumptuous cuisines of this region. Disembark in Arles and follow the remaining stretch of the Rhône by motorcoach, into the river delta, the Camargue. Two nights in Nîmes put you into the heart of the Provence. Enjoy guided sightseeing of the city and a visit to Aigues Mortes. There's plenty of free time for your own exploration. On your way to Nice for the final night of your vacation, stop in Aix-en-Provence.
