Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to Rome
Day 2 - Arrive Rome (2 nights) On arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport we transfer you to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director. (Welcome Dinner)
Day 3 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure Today's sightseeing, with our local guide and a special audio system, includes a visit to St. Peter's Basilica where we see the moving Pieta by Michelangelo. We also have time in St. Peter's Square before crossing the River Tiber to enjoy a walking tour which will include views of the Forum, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and the Circus Maximus. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - Rome - Venice (Main) Through the hilltop towns of the Umbria and the Apennine Mountains. Then via Bologna to the plains of Veneto and our Venice hotel. Tonight, a gondola serenade is a must! (Bufet Breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 5 - Venice sightseeing & at leisure - Lake Maggiore Today our canal cruise by private launch takes us to St. Mark's Square to view the Bridge of Sighs and more. Afterwards, we visit a Murano glass-blowing workshop. Then free time before we head to Lake Maggiore. (BuffetBreakfast/ Dinner)
Day 6 - Lake Maggiore - Lucerne his morning enjoy a scenic drive through the Gotthard range to lakeside Lucerne. On arrival we will visit the Lion Monument and have time to walk across the Chapel Bridge. Then time at leisure to shop or take a trip up a mountain for incredible views! (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 7 - Lucerne - Paris (2 nights) Today via Basel and into France we pass Belfort and remnants of the Maginot Line. We stop to view the
Burgundy vineyards at Savigny-Lès-Beaune, before passing Châteauneuf to Paris for our two-night stay. Tonight, maybe enjoy dinner in a left bank bistro. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 8 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour with a local guide includes such impressive sights as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pont Alexandre III. Then we will ascend the Eiffel tower to its second level before driving along the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe. We will enjoy a walking tour through the Luxembourg gardens The rest of your day is at leisure to do as you please, perhaps visit the Louvre or the Palace at Versailles. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 9 - Paris - London (2 nights) Across the Somme Battlefields and past the Vimy Ridge to Calais port. Here we board our cruise across the Channel to the White Cliffs of Dover and make our way by coach to London. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 10 - London sightseeing & at leisure Many major sights are included on our morning sightseeing tour, then time is your own.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 11 - London - USA Bid farewell on your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
