Best of Holland Belgium & Luxembourg
Day 1 - Depart USA Flight to Amsterdam.
Day 2 - Arrive Amsterdam (2 nights) On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. Later, meet for a Welcome Rijstafel dinner and drink as we
cruise along Amsterdam's canals in our glass topped boat. (Welcome Dinner)
Day 3 - Amsterdam sightseeing & at leisure First, a visit to one of the city's diamond-cutting factories. Then, with a local guide, we visit the Rijksmuseum before a sightseeing tour. Later, an excursion to Volendam with a cheese and clog-making demonstration. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 4 - Amsterdam — De Haar Castle — Bastogne — Luxembourg (2 nights) Morning drive to Haarzuilens to visit the magnificent gardens of De Haar castle and then on to Maastricht. We continue into Belgium and Bastogne — site of the Battle of the Bulge. We stop at the American Memorial. Then to the Duchy of Luxembourg. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 5 - Luxembourg sightseeing & at leisure Our local expert takes us on a walking tour featuring the breathtaking gorge of the Rivers Alzette and Petrusse and other important sights. Next we visit the grave of General George Patton. Then there's free time to explore. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 6 - Luxembourg — Dinant — Mons — Bruges (2 nights) First, a stop at the Cistercian Abbey of Orval. Then to the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, inventor of the saxophone, before heading into Flanders and on to Bruges. Dinner is at a local restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 7 - - Bruges sightseeing & at leisure Our walking sightseeing tour shows us the main sights followed by a cruise along its picturesque canals. We will also visit the Lace Centre. The rest of the day is free. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 8 - Bruges — Gent — Brussels (2 nights) We visit Gent, where an orientation tour shows us the 'Three Towers of Gent', and other main sights. Then on to Brussels for our two-night stay (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 9 - Brussels orientation & at leisure Our Tour Director shows us the main sights, starting with the Atomium. Then we see the Royal Palace and the Japanese and Chinese Pagodas. Next, on a walking tour we visit the Grand' Place and the 'Manneken Pis'. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 10 - - Brussels — Antwerp — Rotterdam First to Antwerp for an orientation. Then we cross the Dutch border and the Zeeland Bridge to the Delta Expo. Then we stop at Delft and on to Rotterdam. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 11 - Rotterdam — Amsterdam — USA A morning transfer to the Schiphol Airport to board your return flight to America. Please do not schedule any flights before 11.00am. (Buffet Breakfast)
