Day 1 - Arrive Las Vegas Welcome to Las Vegas! A complimentary transfer is provided to the Trafalgar hotel. Your Tour Director is at the hotel this afternoon to greet you and answer your questions. Join us at 6:00pm for a Welcome Reception at the hotel. (Welcome Reception)
Day 2 - Las Vegas — Zion National Park — Bryce Canyon National Park Today's journey takes us through St. George before reaching the spectacular Zion National Park for a visit to this lush green canyon. Next on to Bryce Canyon National Park where sandstone spires reflect colorful hues from every vista point. Here we visit the amphitheater of "hoodoos," the oddly shaped stone monoliths. This evening, dinner is served at our hotel. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 3 - Bryce Canyon — Salt Lake City This morning we journey north to Salt Lake City, capital city of the state of Utah. Founded in 1847 by a group of 148 Mormon pioneers led by Brigham Young, Salt Lake City is now home to 1.6 million people and is the headquarters for the ten-million-member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our afternoon orientation tour takes us to the historic Temple Square, where we view the Salt Lake Tabernacle - home of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Assembly Hall, and the Visitor Center. This evening is at leisure; perhaps join our optional dinner at the historic Lion House, with a visit to Beehive House - office and home of Brigham Young. (Full Breakfast)
Day 4 - Salt Lake City — Jackson This morning we travel along the Great Salt Lake and across the Oregon Trail, which was the only feasible route west in the 19th century, en route to Jackson, Wyoming. There is time to wander through this authentic old-western town, framed dramatically by the Grand Tetons to the north. Why not stop for a drink at the Million Dollar Cowboy Saloon" This evening we enjoy a specialty dinner at a local restaurant in the town square. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 5 - Jackson — Grand Teton National Park — Yellowstone National Park (2 nights) This morning, there is time for an optional guided float trip down the most scenic stretch of the Snake River within the entire Jackson Hole Valley (seasonal). We then travel though striking Grand Teton National Park on our way to Yellowstone National Park. The beauty of this geothermal wonderland is an amazing sight to behold. Home to an astounding variety of elk and bears, Yellowstone also has one of the few large herds of buffalo still in existence. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6 - Yellowstone National Park sightseeing Enjoy a full day tour of Yellowstone National Park. We see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River with the 407 foot Lower Falls, Hayden Meadow, Midway Geyser Basin, mud pots, hot pools, fumaroles and geysers. We also see the blast of Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts almost every hour. (Full Breakfast)
Day 7 - Yellowstone — Cody — Billings This morning, we make our way to Cody, named after its most famous resident, Buffalo Bill Cody. Here we learn about his adventures during a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Then our journey continues to our hotel in the historic cattle town of Billings, Montana. This evening, dinner is served at our hotel. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8 - Billings — Deadwood — Rapid City (2 nights) Our first stop today is at Little Bighorn National Monument, site of the infamous "Custer's Last Stand." Here, in June 1876, Custer and his few men faced several thousand Native Americans in battle. Then we head into South Dakota where we stop at Deadwood and explore the town aboard a narrated trolley. We reach Rapid City our home for the next two nights. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 9 - Black Hills excursion This morning, our day begins with a journey through the Black Hills, stopping at Crazy Horse Memorial which honors all Native Americans. We also learn the story behind Mount Rushmore, followed by incredible views of this amazing sculpture depicting four great American Presidents. Your evening is at leisure. (Full Breakfast)
Day 10 - Rapid City — Denver Leaving Rapid City behind we drive through the Black Hills National Forest where Ponderosa pines, spruce and aspen forests provide a home for a variety of wildlife. Next our journey continues through the National Grassland prairies of South Dakota and Wyoming as we make our way to Colorado's capital city — Denver, also known as the Mile-High City. This evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 11 - Depart Denver Bid farewell to your newfound friends as your vacation comes to an end. A complimentary transfer is provided to Denver International Airport. (Full Breakfast)
