Best of the Canyonlands
Day 1 - Arrive Denver Welcome to Denver! A complimentary transfer is provided to the Trafalgar hotel. Your Tour Director is available this evening to greet you and answer questions. Join us at 6:00pm for a Welcome Reception at the hotel.
Day 2 - Denver — Vail — Arches National Park — Moab Today's journey takes us west up into the heart of the Colorado Rockies, via the ski resort of Vail. From here we join the Colorado River, following its path to Arches National Park. Enjoy views of red rock canyons, balancing rocks and the largest number of natural stone arches in the world, providing ample photo opportunities and enchanting vistas. Then on to nearby Moab for the night. (Full breakfast)
Day 3 - Moab - Mesa Verde - Kayenta Our excursion this morning takes us deep into breathtaking Native American lands. Today's highlight is a visit to the ruins of Mesa Verde, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We tour the well-preserved cliff dwellings and get an insight into the daily lives of the ancient Anasazi who lived here in the canyon walls. From here we travel into Arizona and overnight in Kayenta, in the center of the Navajo Reservation. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 4 - Kayenta - Monument Valley - Grand Canyon National Park Today our first stop is at Monument Valley where a local guide takes us to the major sites in this sacred valley. Later, we reach the majestic Grand Canyon. Here we overnight on the South Rim, with plenty of time to take in the canyon's beautiful scenery. (Full breakfast)
Day 5 - Grand Canyon — Las Vegas (2 nights) You may wish to take an optional flightseeing tour with spectacular bird's eye views of the canyon. Later we cross the Colorado River before arriving in Las Vegas, the mecca of gambling and capital of jet-set glamor for a two-night stay. Enjoy an evening at leisure to discover all this incredible city has to offer! (Full Breakfast)
Day 6 - Las Vegas at leisure After breakfast, spend a full day at leisure and enjoy the many activities available. Perhaps delight in a round of golf, an hour by the pool, go shopping at the exclusive Forum Shops of Caesar's Palace or try your luck with the "one-armed bandit" or any other game of chance. (Full Breakfast)
Day 7 - Depart Las Vegas Bid farewell to Las Vegas as your vacation comes to an end. A complimentary transfer is provided to Las Vegas International Airport. (Full Breakfast)
