Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to London.
Day 2 - Arrive London (2 nights) Time to relax after checking into your Trafalgar hotel or perhaps vernture out and explore this exciting city.
Day 3 - London at leisure Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore or maybe shop in Britain's capital. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 4 - London - Salisbury - Plymouth (2 nights) Our day begins with a drive via the mysterious monoliths of Stonehenge to Salisbury, to view its impressive Cathedral. From here we then continue past beautiful Dartmoor to the port of Plymouth where we see the area known as the Hoe, where Sir Francis Drake played bowls before going on to defeat the Spanish Armada. (Continental Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 5 - Cornwall Excursion Today we enjoy stunning scenery as we drive first into Cornwall and on to Mounts Bay where we see St. Michael's Mount. Then we continue our journey through Penzance to the quaint village of St. Ives. Finally, we return via the Moors to Plymouth. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6 - Plymouth - Bath - Stratford - Cardiff This morning we make our way to Bath where we admire its renowned Georgian buildings. Then on across the Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon, the town of Shakespeare's birthplace. Afterwards we drive to Cardiff, the Welsh capital, where we see Cardiff Arms Park and view the Castle before arriving at our hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 7 - Cardiff — Ludlow — Chester (Runcorn) This morning we travel to pretty Ross-on-Wye and on through the Malvern Hills and Shropshire to the market town of Ludlow with its charming half-timbered houses. On to Chester with time to stroll the arcaded streets known as the 'Rows' before we reach our hotel in Runcorn. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8 - Chester (Runcorn) — Glasgow Today, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Lake District to visit Grasmere, home of the great poet William Wordsworth. Then we cross the Scottish border and drive to Moffat where we visit the woollen mill outlet before driving through the Borders to Glasgow. (Full Breakfast)
Day 9 - Glasgow — Scottish Highlands (2 nights) After an orientation of this vibrant city this morning we drive into the spectacular scenery of the Scottish Highlands. First 'along the bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond, past Inverary castle — home to the Dukes of Argyll and then via pretty Oban and Fort William in the shadow of Britain's highest mountain — Ben Nevis. Then on to our hotel in the Highlands for our two night stay. (Full Breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 10 - Scottish Highlands — Isle of Skye Excursion Today we first drive to Culloden, to see the famous Battlefield and then continue our drive along the shores of Loch Ness — look out for the monster! A scenic route take us via Invermorriston through marvellous heather clad hills and mountains to the Kyle of Lochalsh, where we cross 'over the sea to Skye'. We spend time exploring the Isle associated with Bonnie Prince Charlie before returning to our hotel for dinner. (Full Breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 11 - Scottish Highlands — Edinburgh (Falkirk) (2 nights) Our tour takes us into ever more picturesque scenery through Pitlochry — the centre of Scotland — Perth and Dundee to the University town of St. Andrews with its famous golf course. We'll stop to visit this Scottish seaside town before crossing the mighty Forth Bridge to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, where we will stay in nearby Airth Castle. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 12 - Edinburgh sightseeing and at leisure We drive to nearby Edinburgh where our morning sightseeing tour shows us the Royal Mile, Princes Street and views the famous castle. Later, there's free time perhaps to shop for tartans and its popular Scotch whisky. Or maybe visit Holyrood House, home of Mary Queen of Scots. This evening, why not enjoy a lively Scottish banquet with haggis and bagpipe music" (Full Breakfast )
Day 13 - Edinburgh (Falkirk) — Leeds We travel to the ruins of Jedburgh Abbey this morining and to the border at Carter Bar where we stop to take pictures of the views across the Borders. Then to Hadrian's Wall - once defending England from the Picts and Scots before we reach Durham. Here there's time to explore the cobbled streets and wonder at the Norman Cathedral and Castle. Next we drive to Viking York where an orientation tour includes the famous Minster and picturesque 'Shambles'. Finally we head to our hotel in nearby Leeds for dinner and our overnight stay. Day 14 - Leeds - Cambridge - London We enjoy a scenic drive through rolling countrysides to the University city of Cambridge with its many colleges set along the banks of the River Cam. You may wish to take a trip on a 'punt' before returning to London. (Full Breakfast)
Day 15 - London - USA Bid farewell on your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
