Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to London.
Day 2 - Arrive London Time to relax after checking into your Trafalgar hotel or you may wish to go out and explore this exciting city.
Day 3 - London — Stratford — York — Leeds Greetings from our Tour Director as we make our way to Stratford-upon-Avon. Here we visit the town where Shakespeare was born before reaching Viking York. On our arrival an orientation tour includes the gothic Minster, its ancient walls and a stroll through the 'Shambles'. Then time at leisure before we head to Leeds. (Continental Breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 4 - Leeds — Durham — Edinburgh (Falkirk) (2 nights) Today it's a short drive to Durham which is dominated by its Cathedral and castle. From here we travel to Hadrian's Wall where we see the ruins. Then on through the Northumberland National Park to the Scottish border. There's time for a picture stop at ruined Jedburgh Abbey as we make our way to Scotland's elegant capital, Edinburgh for the next two nights, where we stay in nearby Airth Castle. (Full Breakfast)
Day 5 - Edinburgh sightseeing & at leisure A short drive to Edinburgh where morning sightseeing tour shows us Princes Street, the Royal Mile and views the castle and Holyrood House, where Mary Queen of Scots lived. Then enjoy time at leisure to perhaps shop for tartans and of course famous Scotch whisky. (Full Breakfast)
Day 6 - Edinburgh (Falkirk) — Scottish Highlands (2 nights) Our day begins with a drive over the Forth Bridge to St. Andrews to see the famous Golf Course. Then we continue our journey into the scenic Scottish Highlands past Perth and Pitlochry reaching our hotel in the Highlands for our two-night stay. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 7 - Scottish Highlands — Excursion to Skye Today we drive along the shores of Loch Ness — look out for the monster! — and then via Invermorriston through marvellous heather clad hills and mountains to the Kyle of Lochalsh, where we cross 'over the sea to Skye' — just like bonnie Prince Charlie! We return to our hotel for dinner. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8 - Scottish Highlands — Glasgow Today we drive along the shores of Loch Linnhe to Fort William, glimpsing Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Next we continue through infamous Glencoe to Loch Lomond on our way to our hotel near Glasgow for the night. (Full Breakfast)
Day 9 - Glasgow — Grasmere — Wrexham (North Wales) A morning orientation tour of Glasgow features the Cathedral and George Square. Then, we drive through the Southern Uplands to Moffat. From here it's back into England, where we enjoy a scenic drive to the Lake District, stopping in Grasmere - home of the poet Wordsworth, before arriving at Wrexham, just over the border in Wales. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 10 - Wrexham (North Wales) — Chester — Bristol Our first stop this morning is in historic Chester. Here we explore the 'Rows' and admire the Cathedral. Next off to Stoke-on-Trent to visit the Wedgwood Pottery Centre. Then on to Bristol. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 11 - Bristol — London We drive to nearby Bath to admire its splendid Georgian architecture before free time to perhaps visit the Roman Baths. Next we cross Salisbury Plain stopping to see the mysterious stone circle at Stonehenge. Later, our journey brings us back to London. (Full Breakfast)
Day 12 - London - USA Bid farewell on your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
