London Paris & Rome (Deluxe)
Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to London.
Days 2 to 4 - London (3 nights) After check-in at your hotel, the rest of your day is free. To help you get your bearings we include a half day's sightseeing tour featuring Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and more. You'll have the chance to visit some of the world's best theatre and time to explore on your own. Shop for antiques, visit museums, wander through Hyde Park, and dine out in the West End at your choice of restaurants.
Days 5 to 7 - Paris (3 nights) We drive to Dover and admire the White Cliffs on our short sea-crossing to Calais. From here we cross the World War I Battlefields to lively Paris. Here we enjoy a sightseeing tour which includes the ascent of the Eiffel Tower to the second level, a drive up the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe and views of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Place de la Concorde. Also included is a visit to the Fragonard Perfumery and Museum. We also include a walking tour through the Luxemburg gardens using our excellent audio system. Then time is your own. Perhaps shop in the boutiques or maybe visit the ornate splendour of the Palace of Versailles. Why not dine out in Bohemian Montmartre or enjoy some Parisian cabaret"
Day 8 - Overnight train from Paris to Rome Overnight train from Paris to Rome All aboard our train in Paris for an overnight journey through the French vineyards en route to Italy. Then we head across the Apennine Mountains to Rome.
Days 9 to 10 - Rome (2 nights) Enjoy two full days in this exciting city. Our sightseeing tour on the first morning with a local guide, includes a walking tour using our effective audio system, includes views of the Forum and the Colosseum, plus a visit to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican and then to the Circus Maximus where 'Ben Hur' style chariot races took place! Then Rome is yours to explore as you please. There's plenty of time to admire Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, and shop along the elegant Via Condotti. In the evenings, perhaps discover Italy's mouth-watering cuisine in one of Rome's many restaurants.
Day 11 - Rome - USA 'Buon viaggio' Roma as we transfer you to Rome Fiumicino Airport for your return flight home
