PERUVIAN AMAZON CRUISE W/ MACHU PICCHU EXTENSION

Dating back to the mid-1500s, Francisco de Orellana searched the waterways for the fabled source of Inca gold. In the late-1900s, Jacques Cousteau exposed its rich natural history to the world. Today, you have the chance to discover the native flora and fauna, Indian villages, and surrounding wilderness for yourself. After a day in Lima for guided city sightseeing, fly to Iquitos to board the DELFIN expedition riverboat for a 4-night Amazon cruise. Encounter toucans, parrots, harpy eagles, capuchin and squirrel monkeys, sloths, and manatees. Also spend some time piranha fishing, feeding the pink and grey dolphins, and interacting with locals at their villages.
