WARSAW, THE BALTICS & RUSSIA
Overview Click map for larger sizeThis leisurely vacation includes Poland, the Baltic Countries, and the best of Russia. Your trip starts in Warsaw, Poland. On your sightseeing tour, hear about the tormented, often tragic history of this important gateway between East and West from a Local Guide. Five days are dedicated to the Baltic States, three small countries which quite recently regained their independence. Stay two nights in Vilnius, Lithuania, and in Riga, Latvia, and one in Tallinn, Estonia. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour in these cities. In Russia, visit magnificent Catherine Palace (if closed: Pavlovsk Palace) and continue to St. Petersburg for your three-night stay with an included highlight visit to the Hermitage Museum. Then, board the express train to Moscow and enjoy three nights in Moscow with a sightseeing tour including Red Square, the Kremlin, and the Armory Museum. This trip to Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia will leave you with wonderful vacation memories! Riga: Guided sightseeing, walking tour of the Old Town, visit the Art Nouveau quarter
Tallinn: Guided sightseeing, visit the Town Hall and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
Narva: Border crossing
St. Petersburg: Guided sightseeing, visit Catherine Palace (if closed, visit Pavlovsk Palace instead), St. Isaac's Cathedral, and the Hermitage Museum
St. Petersburg-Moscow: By Aurora train
Moscow: Guided sightseeing, visit Red Square and the Armory Museum in the Kremlin; farewell dinner
