Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Copenhagen.
Day 2 - Arrive Copenhagen (2 nights) You are met on arrival at Copenhagen airport and transferred to your hotel. We will meet with our Tour Director and fellow passengers this evening to enjoy a Welcome Drink. Later, why not take a stroll around the old town"(Welcome Dinner)
Day 3 - Copenhagen sightseeing and at leisure The Little Mermaid, Renaissance Stock Exchange, the Royal Amalienborg Palace and Christiansborg Palace all feature on morning sightseeing. Then the day is at leisure. Tonight, why not visit the famous Tivoli Gardens and enjoy a traditional Danish dinner" (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 4 - Copenhagen — Stockholm This morning we leave Denmark's cosmopolitan capital and cross the Oresund to the forests and meadows of Småland. Then we travel past Lake Vättern and enjoy views of the Brahehus Castle en route to the Swedish capital, Stockholm. Tonight, perhaps enjoy a candlelit dinner on the island of Djurgården.(Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 5 - Stockholm sightseeing Our sightseeing tour features the Royal Palace and a visit to the City Hall. Then free time to shop or wander through the Old Town before boarding our Silja Line ship for an overnight mini-cruise to Finland.(Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6 - At sea — Helsinki An early arrival in Helsinki this morning followed by a sightseeing tour showing us Finlandia Hall, the Senate and Market squares, broad boulevards and the domed Russian Church. This evening why not visit the Holmenkollen ski jump and enjoy some of the local cuisine" (Scandinavian Breakfast )
Days 7 - Helsinki — St. Petersburg (2 nights) Today, we leave Finland to drive past the timber centre of Kotka and through the forests of Karelia to the Russian border. Soon we arrive in St Petersburg and tonight we - ll enjoy complimentary champagne with dinner. (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Days 8 - St. Petersburg sightseeing and at leisure Featured on our sightseeing tour this morning are the Tsar's Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Russian museum, the statue of Peter the Great and a visit of the Peter and Paul fortress. Later, maybe take an excursion to Petrodvorets, the summer palace of Peter the Great.(Breakfast)
Day 9 - St. Petersburg — Novgorod This morning we - ll drive to the Hermitage Museum with our local guide and visit one of the biggest repositories of paintings and beautiful artefacts in the world! Then across the vast Russian plains to ancient Novgorod, where on arrival an orientation shows us the Kremlin fort and grounds, the Millennium Monument and the St Sophia Cathedral. Dinner is in our hotel tonight.
Day 10 - Novgorod — Moscow (3 nights) First we drive through picturesque villages to Tver for an included lunch. Then we continue via Klin — once the home of Tchaikovsky — to the Russian capital — Moscow. Perhaps this evening enjoy an extravagant show at the Moscow State Circus!(Buffet Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)
Day 11 - & 12 - Moscow sightseeing & at leisure An included sightseeing tour features such highlights as Red Square, St. Basil's domed Cathedral and the Kremlin. Then enjoy free time to maybe visit St. Sergius Monastery and handicraft market or to visit Zagorsk — the centre of Russian Art and Architecture. During your stay in Moscow your Tour Director will also share with you a Hidden Treasure of this fascinating city. (Breakfast)(Breakfast)
Day 13 - Moscow — Smolensk — Minsk This morning we pass Borodino, site of Napoleon's great defeat, have lunch near Smolensk and then cross the border into Belarus. Soon we arrive in Minsk for a guided tour, showing us Leninsky Prospekt and Victory Square. Dinner and overnight. (Buffet Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)
Day 14 - Minsk — Brest Litovsk — Warsaw (2 nights) This morning we travel via the Pripet Marshes and the Plains of White Russia for lunch in Brest Litovsk. Then we cross the River Vistula to the Polish frontier and to Poland's capital - Warsaw. Tonight why not enjoy a Chopin recital"(Buffet Breakfast/ Lunch)
Day 15 - Warsaw sightseeing and at leisure We experience a miracle of reconstruction and conservation on our morning sightseeing, which reveals the historic centre where much of the Old Town was rebuilt after the war. We also see the site of the Warsaw Ghetto as evoked in the recent Oscar-winning film "The Pianist". This evening we enjoy dinner in a typical restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast/ Highlight Dinner)
Day 16 - Warsaw — Berlin (2 nights) We travel across the Polish central plains to Poznan, before crossing the border into Germany and Frankfurt-an-der-Oder. Finally we arrive in the capital, Berlin, and our hotel. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 17 - Berlin Our guided tour shows us the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and Kurfurstendamm. Then maybe visit Potsdam or the Pergamon Museum Tonight, we all enjoy a Farewell Dinner with our Tour Director. (Buffet Breakfast/ Farewell Dinner)
Day 18 - Berlin — USA This morning we transfer you to Berlin's Tegel airport for your return home. (Buffet Breakfast)
