Real Greece
Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Athens.
Day 2 - Arrive Athens (3 nights) Trafalgar meets you on arrival at Athens Airport and transfers you to your hotel. Then there's time to unwind and relax, and this evening we enjoy a Welcome Dinner with wine in the lively Plaka district. (Welcome Dinner)
Day 3 - Athens sightseeing Our sightseeing tour includes the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, views of the Agora where Socrates taught, the Royal Palace, the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, and the stadium built for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. The rest of your day is at leisure. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 4 - Athens at leisure Enjoy a full day at leisure to perhaps stroll along the boulevards and sip an 'Ouzo' in Constitution Square. Later, maybe visit the Archeological Museum, or maybe choose an excursion to Cape Sounion or a 3 island cruise to Aegina, Poros and Hydra" (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 5 - Athens — Nauplia Today we drive to the bridge across the Corinth Canal. We visit the remains of the ancient Greek city of Corinth, before reaching Mycenae, to see the Treasury of Atreus, the Beehive Tombs, Lion Gate and the remains of Agamemnon's Royal Palace. Then on to the Sanctuary of Aesculapius, God of Medicine, where we visit the Amphitheatre. Finally, to Nauplia for dinner and overnight. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6 - Nauplia — Olympia Today's drive takes us through the mountains of Arcadia en route to Olympia, where the
first Olympic Games were held in 776 B.C. Time to stroll around the ancient Olympic Stadium and the Temples of Zeus and Hera. Overnight and dinner is at Olympia. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 7 - Olympia — Delphi We board our ferry from Patras to mainland Greece. We drive to Delphi on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, home of the Oracle. Then we walk the Sacred Way to the Sanctuary of Apollo. Overnight in Delphi and enjoy dinner at our hotel this evening. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8 - Delphi — Kalambaka Over the Pourmaraki Pass to Lamia and on to Kalambaka. Then to the incredible monasteries of Meteora. Here we will visit two of the monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 9 - Kalambaka — Athens A scenic drive along the coast to Thermopylae before returning to Athens for our final night. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 10 - Depart Athens This morning, bid farewell as we transfer to Athens Airport for your return flight home. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 11 - Christmas & New Year's Eve Highlights Tour departure 23 Dec will be accommodated in Athens on Christmas Eve and tour departure 29 Dec will be accommodated in Athens for the New Year celebrations.
