MUNICH, SALZBURG & VIENNA
Overview Click map for larger sizeOn this vacation, spend a week to see the magnificent cities of Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna. In addition to the in-depth city sightseeing tours in the main cities, highlight visits are included to King Ludwig's fairy-tale castle in Neuschwanstein, Mozart's birthplace in Sound of Music Salzburg, and Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. Schönbrunn Palace was the residence of the Habsburg emperors and is one of Austria's most important cultural monuments. On this tour, you also stop in Innsbruck, Austria, host of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. From Salzburg, an optional excursion to Berchtesgaden, Hitler's Eagle's Nest, is available. An entire day at leisure in Vienna allows the possibility to join an optional excursion to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. You may also wish to visit one of the operetta concerts in one of Vienna's elegant concert halls. On the way back to Munich, enjoy a relaxing cruise down the Danube River.
