Day 9 - Rothenburg and Würzburg Travel along the Romantic Road, a spectacular route winding through Bavaria to the Alps. Day 11 - Mainz Mainz is famous for Johannes Gutenberg, the town's native son who invented the printing press with movable type. Day 12 - Rüdesheim and Cruising the Rhine Rüdesheim has a long history going back to Roman times, as most coastal cities along the Rhine do. Day 13 - Düsseldorf A juxtaposition of old and new, Düsseldorf boasts quaint old houses and a collection of modern architecture, including Frank Gehry-designed warehouse conversions.
