Majestic Alaska (10 days) with Gulf of Alaska Cruise (Inside cabin)

Day 1 - Arrive Anchorage (2 nights) Arrive today in Anchorage. A complimentary transfer is provided to your Trafalgar hotel. Meet your Tour Director this afternoon and the rest of the day is free to explore the city.

Day 2 - Anchorage — Valdez We depart this morning and travel through the Matanuska Valley where world record, monster vegetables are grown in the 24 hour daylight. See the Matanuska and Worthington Glaciers, both offering spectacular sights of gigantic glaciers. Journey alongside portions of the Trans-Alaska pipeline as we travel through the rugged glacier clad Chugach Mountains. Here we have a local orientation tour of this pipeline terminus town.(Full Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 3 - Valdez — Fairbanks (2 nights) Today we drive north along the Richardson Highway and through the great arch of the towering Alaska Mountain Range to Fairbanks. This route takes us along the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest park in America and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline that runs 800 miles from Valdez to Prudhoe Bay. After a stop in Delta Junction, the original northern end to the famed Alaska Highway, we arrive in Fairbanks for a two-night stay. (Ful Breakfast)

Day 4 - Fairbanks sightseeing & at leisure Discover more about Fairbanks and its rich history of oil and gold on a morning orientation tour. Then we board the Riverboat Discovery and follow the Tanana and Chena Rivers. Along the way, pay a visit to a recreated Athabaskan Village and visit with the locals as they go about their traditional lives. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight, meet for a welcome drink hosted by your Tour Director followed by dinner. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)




Day 5 - Fairbanks — Denali National Park (2 nights) Today we travel south, stopping to visit the town of Nenana. This afternoon we arrive in Denali National Park, home of the majestic Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America. We settle in for our two-night stay and this evening revel in Denali's colorful past at the Denali Dinner Theater. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 6 - Denali National Park excursion Relax this morning amid the grandeur of America's last wilderness. Maybe take an optional rafting trip or guided hike through this legendary landscape. This afternoon, we venture into the heart of Denali on a guided expedition — keep an eye out for moose, caribou, sheep and the mighty grizzly.

Day 7 - Denali — Alaska Railroad — Anchorage (2 nights) Enjoy another relaxing morning soaking in the beauty of Denali National Park. This afternoon we board the famous Alaska Railroad for the journey to Anchorage. Following the Nenana River we cross Broad Pass and then follow the shores of the Susitna River as it winds its way to the Cook Inlet. (Full Breakfast)

Day 8 - Anchorage orientation & at leisure This morning's orientation tour in this seaside city includes the historic district and the shores of the Cook Inlet. Then learn more about Alaska's native people at the Native Heritage Center. Walk along wooded paths as they wind through indigenous villages and meet with natives from different parts of this vast land. The rest of your day is at leisure. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 9 - Anchorage — Kenai Fjords National Park — Seward The breathtaking beauty of Alaska's coast opens before us as we travel south from Anchorage along Turnagin Arm framed by the Chugach Mountains and ocean vistas. See numerous glaciers before crossing Moose Pass and the descent towards the Kenai Peninsula. Here we board a sightseeing cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park. Capture the wildlife such as seals, porpoises, bald eagles and possibly orca. We'll also have a chance to see some of the area's numerous tide water glaciers — with any luck we may see an iceberg "calve" or fall from the glacier, creating an eerie roar. We arrive at Seward for the night, a typical Alaskan waterfront town. (Full Breakfast / Lunch)

Day 10 - Seward — Whittier From Seward, travel to Whittier to join the Coral Princess Cruise ship for a cruise through the incredible Gulf of Alaska. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 11 - Cruising Alaska's Gulf The stunning scenery of Alaska's Gulf opens before you today as you travel south along the breathtaking Alaska coast. (Full Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)


Day 12 - Glacier Bay Cruising Alaska's most famous landscape is your setting as you cruise majestic Glacier Bay. Learn more about this incredible place as your onboard naturalist makes the scenery come alive. (Full Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)


Day 13 - Skagway Arrive today in Skagway, jumping off point for miners heading to the Yukon gold fields. Perhaps take the optional White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad to relive their treacherous journey.

Day 14 - Juneau Today visit Alaska's capital, Juneau, home to Mendenhall Glacier. Stroll through the historic downtown area, visit the glacier or maybe ride the scenic gondola" (Full Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)


Day 15 - Ketchikan Alaska's fishing heritage comes alive today in Ketchikan. Perhaps stroll down the bustling waterfront, explore the historic buildings or discover the city's amazing collection of totem poles.

Day 16 - Inside Passage Cruising As the ship makes its way through the scenic Inside Passage, relax and take advantage of all the onboard amenities. (Full Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
