Toronto - Niagara Falls Full Day Excursion We travel this morning around Lake Ontario to the awesome sight of Niagara Falls. There's plenty of time to take it all in from the lovely park-like setting of the Canadian side. Then we see the falls up close on the unforgettable Maid of the Mist cruise. Following the dramatic cataract along the scenic Niagara Peninsula, we visit the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the colonial capital of Upper Canada. This evening, join your fellow traveling companions for a welcome drink followed by dinner at our hotel in Toronto. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 3 - Toronto — Kingston Start the day with an orientation tour of Toronto, viewing Queens Park, the busy entertainment district, stately University Avenue and the CN Tower. We then follow the shores of Lake Ontario north through the Ontario countryside to the historic town of Kingston. We visit Old Fort Henry, located where the lake meets the St. Lawrence River. There is free time in the evening. Perhaps enjoy a leisurely dinner cruise in the 1000 Island region. (Full Breakfast)
Day 4 - Kingston — Upper Canada Village — Ste. Adele This morning, we visit Upper Canada Village, a recreated 1860's rural community where citizens take us back in time. We then travel north into the Laurentian Mountains, the backbone of Quebec passing picturesque villages nestled in dense forests. Our drive is particularly beautiful in the autumn months, when the hills turn fiery red as the colors change. We enjoy a relaxing overnight in the Laurentian village of Ste. Adele where dinner is served at our hotel this evening. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 5 - Ste. Adele — Quebec City (2 nights) This morning after breakfast we leave the forests, lakes and rivers of the Laurentians behind as we travel to amazing Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1620 as a trading post at a narrowing of the St. Lawrence, the walled city quickly grew on the cliffs overlooking the river. With French the primary language, old-world Quebec offers a truly unique experience. We spend the next two nights here with dinner at our hotel this evening. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6 - Quebec City sightseeing & at leisure This morning we enjoy a locally guided tour of Quebec — including the narrow streets of the walled city, the Citadel and the Plains of Abraham, site of a major colonial battle between the British and French. We'll also travel north of the city to visit the Basilica of St. Anne de Beaupre and see Montemorency Falls. Later, there's time on your own to explore this exciting city! You may wish to visit the shops and galleries of the walled city or explore a military museum. (Full Breakfast)
Day 7 - Quebec City — Montreal (2 nights) — sightseeing Today we leave old world Quebec for modern Montreal, the cultural capital of French Canada and the largest French-speaking city outside France. Here our locally guided tour shows us the historic sites of Vieux Montreal and the historic Old Port, as well as the modern contrasts of bustling downtown and lovely views from atop the parks of Mount Royal. After there is time at leisure to explore further or settle in for your two-night stay in the "Paris of North America". We will enjoy dinner at local restaurant tonight. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
