Tropical Rainforest & Barrier Reef
Day 1 - & 2 - Depart USA We fly over the international date line to Sydney, Australia.
Day 3 - Arrive Sydney (3 nights) On arrival at Sydney Airport you'll be transferred to your hotel. After check-in, time to relax and unwind.
Day 4 & 5 - Sydney at leisure Enjoy two full days at leisure in this exciting city. Perhaps take an optional sightseeing tour to see the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House followed by a luncheon cruise on spectacular Sydney Harbour. On your second day why not take an excursion to the Blue Mountains and see some of Australia's native Wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park" Or maybe sample local wines in the Hunter Valley or take a trip to Canberra, Australia's capital. Day 6 - Sydney - Coffs Harbour. Travel along the scenic coastline of New South Wales through Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour. This evening before dinner, we enjoy a welcome drink with our Tour Director. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 7 - Coffs Harbour - Gold Coast. This morning we stop in exclusive Byron Bay and view Cape Byron Lighthouse, before following the lush Tweed River Valley to the famous gold coast. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 8 - Gold Coast - Brisbane - Fraser Island (2 nights) Travel along the Sunshine Coast, stopping in Brisbane for an orientation tour of the city and chance to learn about opals. Then on to Hervey Bay for the ferry crossing to Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 9 - Fraser Island Adventure This morning at leisure perhaps join a Ranger guided birdwatching tour. Later, we tour the island by 4WD vehicle including Central Station and Lake Mckenzie, a beautiful freshwater lake. Then there is time this afternoon to enjoy the Resort facilities. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 10 - Fraser Island - Rockhampton - Aboriginal Culture. We return to the mainland and cross the Tropic of Capricorn into Rockhampton. Tonight, we dine out at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre. Learn of Aboriginal culture and traditions, and be entertained by their colourful dances. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 11 - Rockampton - Hamilton Island (2 nights Today we travel to MacKay, Australia's sugar capital, for a brief tour and then on to Shute Harbour. Here we join a catamaran for our cruise to Hamilton Island. Tonight enjoy dinner at the Yacht Club overlooking the Marina. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 12 - Hamilton Island at leisure Enjoy a free day to explore Hamilton Island. Perhaps take an optional cruise to Whitehaven Beach. Your Tour Director will be happy to assist you book any optional activities. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 13 - Hamilton Island - Townsville This morning we depart by catamaran and return to the mainland where we rejoin our coach and continue to Townsville. Here we enjoy a guided tour to meet the animals at Billabong Sanctuary. Then your afternoon is free to relax or stroll along The Strand before dinner at our hotel for the night.

Day 14 - Townsville - Port Douglas (2 nights) A morning drive into the high tropical plateau known as the Atherton Tablelands. Visit Millaa Millaa Falls and the Curtain Fig Tree. Then enjoy a guided cruise on Lake Barrine, before reaching the popular resort town of Port Douglas for the night. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 15 - Port Douglas at leisure After breakfast, there's a full day at leisure in the resort town of Port Douglas. Why not sit back and relax by the hotel pool or take a long stroll along Four Mile Beach" Alternatively, you may wish to join an optional tour to the Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation. There is a lot to do and the choices are all yours! Your Tour Director will be happy to advise and help you with any arrangements you may require during the day or evening. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 16 - Port Douglas - Cairns (2 nights) - Great Barrier Reef Cruise This morning we travel to Cairns where we will board the Great Adventures high speed catamaran and cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. View the magnificent coral and sea life in a special sub-sea vessel and enjoy a tropical buffet lunch. There is a chance for swimming and snokelling over the reef (equipment is provided). (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Lunch)
Day 17 - Kuranda - Skyrail - Tjapukai. In the morning after breakfast, we board the Karanda train for the scenic railway journey to the village of Kuranda. Here we will explore the colorful Kuranda markets, before riding on the skyrail Cableway over the canopy of the tropical rainforest. Next we visit the internationally famous Tiapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Here we experience the history, Creation and Dance Theatres where the legends of the Dreamtime are brought to life. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 18 - Cairns - USA This morning time to bid farewell to Australia and new-found friends as we transfer you to Cairns Airport to connect with your return flight home. (Buffet breakfast)
