Grand China & the Yangtze (Deluxe)

Day 1 - Depart North America Board your overnight flight to Beijing.

Day 2 - Arrive Beijing Arrive in Beijing and meet your Trafalgar Tour Director at the airport before transferring to the Dynasty

Day 3 - Beijing Beijing is home to many sights that make China a must-see destination, including your stops today: Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. You'll also be treated to a relaxing foot massage, and in the evening, a traditional Peking Duck feast. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4 - Beijing Visit the Great Wall, dating from the 3th century B.C., and eventually extending 4,000 miles. Afterwards, visit the lavish and historic Ming Tombs. In the evening, enjoy a historic Beijing Opera performance. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5 - Beijing Admire one of China's best-preserved imperial gardens at the Summer Palace. See the pandas at the Beijing Zoo. Take a rickshaw tour of the Hutongs in the old residential area of Beijing. Enjoy an evening boat tour of Shishihai Lake. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6 - Beijing — Xi'an This morning, you'll fly to the ancient city of Xi'an, where upon arrival, you'll participate in a Royal welcome ceremony held just for you at the city gate. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7 - Xi'an Visit the iconic life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses guarding tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. Visit the tomb and observe a tree planting ceremony. In the evening, enjoy a Tang Dynasty dinner and cultural show. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8 - Xi'an — Shanghai Prior to your flight to Shanghai, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. After lunch, fly to bustling Shanghai and transfer to the Regal

Day 9 - Shanghai Enjoy the many splendors of Shanghai, including Old Town, the Bund, Yu Yuan Gardens, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower with its distinctive artistic spheres. Enjoy an evening performance by the world-famous Shanghai Acrobats. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10 - Shanghai — Tongli — Suzhou — Shanghai Visit charming Tongli with its narrow streets, simple and elegant homes, teahouses and intriguing shops. After lunch, you'll continue the tour to Suzhou, known for its famous and delicate gardens. You will visit the Humble Administrator Gardens, a splendid example of Suzhou's famous gardens and also listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Board a traditional boat in Suzhou and cruise the 1,000-year-old canals. Enjoy an evening performance of music and dance. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 11 - Shanghai — Yichang — Yangtze Cruise Visit the Embroidery Institute before returning to Shanghai for your flight to Yichang, where you'll board your luxurious Victoria Cruises ship upon arrival. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12 - Yangtze Cruise — Three Gorges Dam Visit the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric power project, and travel through the 5-stage ship locks. Admire the dramatic shoals and verdant cliffs of Xiling Gorge, the longest and most treacherous of the Three Gorges. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 13 - Yangtze Cruise — Lesser Three Gorges Board a riverboat for a voyage down the Lesser Gorges, depending on water levels. After returning to the cruise ship, sail through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, with its majestic 12 mountain peaks. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) 

Day 14 - Cruising the Yangtze River Depending on water levels, you'll visit Shibaozai Fengdu or Wanzhou, some of the Yangtze River's most impressive sites. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 15 - Yangtze Cruise — Chongqing — Dazu — Chongqing Disembark in Chongqing, and enjoy the Dazu Rock Carvings from the Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties. Marvel at the more than 50,000 Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian rock carvings. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 16 - Chongqing — Guillin Tour Chongqing, known for its great Sichuan cuisine and pandas. In the afternoon, fly to Guilin, a world-famous destination known for its spectacular scenery. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 17 - Guillin — Yangzhou Enjoy a half-day cruise with lunch down the Li River. Visit Yangzhou, a leading economic and cultural center and major port since the Tang
Dynasty. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 18 - Guillin — Hong Kong Marvel at the distinctly colored stalactites and stalagmitesin the Reed Flute Cave. Visit a fascinating Chinese tea farm. Fly to Hong Kong later in the day. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 19 - Hong Kong This breathtaking city offers a vibrant blend of Eastern and Western. Take the bus to Victoria Peak with its fabulous views. Visit Aberdeen Fishing Village, and Stanley Market, a mecca for bargain hunters. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 20 - Hong Kong — North America Today you transfer to the airport for your return flight to North America. (Buffet Breakfast)
